Kia Meredith-Caballero is an award-winning producer and founder of KMC Productions in Washington DC. Over the past twelve years she has been involved in the production of over 45 hours of unscripted cable network programming. She is currently working on Couturier, a film about the life and legacy of fashion designer Ann Lowe. She is also developing the film American Gothic 2.0, a search to discover what happened to Ella Watson and her descendants, the subjects in Gordon Parks iconic photo series for the U.S. Farm Security Administration.
Kia has established a reputation for honest and thought provoking storytelling of sensitive subjects including crime, military battles, medical issues, and intimate relationships. As an advocate of arts education and education reform, she provides media consulting, message development, promotional and documentary video production for schools and organizations that support youth and the arts.
She has been a guest lecturer at Howard University, Catholic University and The Urban Teacher's Center. Kia earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Filmmaking from the School of Visual Arts.
